HAI HAI HAAAAAIIIII !!!

So... hi again :3

The last post was in May 28th, which is exactly 53 days ago at the time of writing this. I don't even really remember what it was about lmao - but quite a few BIG things has happened since then!

Starting with the first... Chronologically speaking...

FIRST : BACKROOMS MOVIE !

I went to go see the Backrooms movie - directed by now 21 year old Kane Personells - in a cinema on June 9th! I NEVER go out to see a movie in theaters... like, to the extent that the last time i went to a cinema was with my mom to watch Indiana Jones Legend of the Circle or whatever it was called, and i think that was 4 years ago or something... actually let me check, when did that relea- June 2023. So, 3 years since i last went to the cinema. What pushed me to go see this particular one?

The DIRECTOR. Kane Parsons. Kane Pixels on YouTube. I really like his Backrooms series on YouTube, so when I saw the news that he would be directing a propah MOVIE to be shown in THEATRES, i just KNEW it would be worth it to go out to see it. Was i right in thinking that?

YES. This movie is now in my top favourite 3 movies. The other two there are the first Matrix film, and... actually i don't know. I don't exactly have favourite films like i do favourite games. Not easy to think of any to place into a list. So. Top *2* favourite films. Backrooms and The Matrix.

I won't spoil a THING. Just, go watch it and tell me what you thought of it. Please. It's so good. It's available digitally!

SECOND : DEL-TA-RUUUUUUUUNE !! (MAJOR Spoilers for Deltarune Chapter 5)

Of course I had to talk about it. Deltarune Chapter 5 released and i played it DAY 1. Absolute perfection of a chapter. Made me like the game even more AGAIN. Made me like Ralsei EVEN MORE, and i already LOVED HIM/THEM!!! Ralsei crashing out was of course a sight to behold and i loved every second of it.

Loved the vibe of the chapter, it was really cozy and thinking about it right now puts me at ease ~w~ * I genuinely got sad once i saw everything it had to offer, i love Delarune so much... thank god there will be more...

...I am really struggling to come up with things to write about this lol, there's just so much to talk about, but i don't want to be here forever... I will just say, Flowery is an amazing character, and is the PERFECT counter to Ralsei. The 6(7) flowers are all amazing and, i swear, Toby Fox's writing was already good, but it got REALLY good here. The lack of FRIEND is... well, it didn't upset me knowing what this chapter was always supposed to be about anyway. But that patched-in Mew Mew shop dialogue is...... Gru Gaster. Gru Gaster. Gru Gaster. FRIEND is Minion. Gru Gaster.

I am glad that they stopped beating around the bush with Susie and Noelle's relationship. Being a FNAF fan (kinda lol) makes me automatically assume things just... won't really be explained or shown... and honestly i thought Toby Fox wouldn't be blunt about it. But i'm GLAD he was. They're very cute together! Kris hates it though, probably!

Asgore is also the vaguest Vaguepost King ever. "Ever since THAT day..." "Oh, Kris, that HORRIBLE NASTY day..." "Ohhhhh Kris... That Day day horrible day That day...day...." WHAT DAY?!! WHAT DAAAYYY??!!!!! Honestly i found it pretty funny how Toby Fox managed to find a way for Asgore to be as vague as he possibly can. I can understand why he did that though, and i think it does work anyway, so...

Send me an email @ zanckedcontact@gmail.com to let me know what YOU thought of the chapter and i will put it in the next post! Like those Q&A shows! I'm curious to see if anyone will actually do that LOL, but i would really appreciate it!!

THIRD : SKETCHY SKETCHY !!!

I GOT A BRAND NEW SKETCHBOOK! - and it's not just any sketchbook... it's my very FIRST sketchbook! Yup, that's right! I have never owned a sketchbook before the date July 15th 2026. With me being an artist and all, that might be a little surprising...

I began wanting to get a sketchbook earlier the same day, but why? What compelled me to the act of drawing on a piece of paper and having my drawings archived in the real world? Well, the answer is kinda dumb.

Earlier that day... I began reading a creepypasta called NES Godzilla Creepypasta. I've been hearing about how it might be the best creepypasta ever, and, well, i like creepypastas! So i finally decided Why The Heck Not. If you don't know what it's about, then... I mean... the name explains everything lol

While i was reading it... in Chapter 3: TRANCE, the author writes how he had a notepad and pen, for note taking. He uses it to remember things, and to sometimes doodle in it. When i read this, i thought: "Notepad and pen... I have never owned a notepad, but having something to jot down thoughts and reminders, and most importantly, a place to sketch away from the PC... that sounds cool, actually. I'll look into this." ... And now here we are. Yeah, i know... It's kinda dumb that THIS, of ALL THINGS, is why i decided to buy a sketchbook. I dunno, i mean i've definitely thought about it before, but i had never seriously considered it before this point. In hindsight, i really wish i had gotten it earlier.

Once i decided i wanted to get a sketchbook, i also began looking into pens for drawing with, and i stumbled upon a Reddit comment that said Fountain Pens are pretty nice for drawing. I watched a bunch of videos about them, read an article or two, and browsed a few popular fountain pens before i found the one i ended up getting!

Here's a pic! LOOK AT IT!!! LOOK AT THEM BOTH !!! RAAAGHHHHHHH

The Sketchbook i got is the Talens Art Creation A6 9x14 SKETCH BOOK

The Fountain Pen i got is the Lamy Safari Vista Fountain Pen

I've been using these together every single day, for 3 days (i don't count the 19th because it is 1 AM the 19th as i type this LOL) - and i REALLY REALLY like both of them. The sketchbook has some really nice solid build quality, it has 80 pages and they're nice to draw on, it has a cute little elastic band to keep the book closed and i really really like it! It also has a little bookmark string thing which is nice to have. However, the main reason i got THIS specific sketchbook is because 1. It's SMOL! A6 size, and fits in my pocket! It's roughly the size of a smartphone, so it IS small. But perfect for me! Bigger sketchbooks just seem... i don't know? The portability is just REALLY attractive to me. Easier to hide. More compact and neat. Can use it as a smartphone replacement. It's cool!!

The fountain pen is also really really nice, i like it! It's my first time ever using a Fountain Pen, much less owning one, but turns out i like it! It functions pretty much exactly as i hoped it would. And the build quality is really solid, too, i LOVE the Vista model where you can see through the pen and see its INSIDES... s'just cool to look at... Feels good, too. I got this specific pen for two main reasons: 1. it looked cool, and 2. enough people called it the best Beginner fountain pen, like, i looked at so many videos about this thing and other pens and how they compaaare... and i didn't see a single one disliking this pen! Which was enough to convince me to get it.

Oh, and i also got some Lamy Pen Converters, and the Quink Ink Bottle by Parker. Cus the aspect of being able to refill these pens just by sucking the ink out into the pen like a syringe is pretty cool to me.

FOURTH : ART FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT !!!!

Art Fight 2026 started, and i joined! It's my first time participating in this event, and so far i have already drawn plenty of attacks and revenges! It's been really fun drawing other's OC's for once. I should do it more often...! Maybe with commissions...

BTW YOU SHOULD FIGHT ME ON ART FIGHT, I REVENGE EVERYONE!!! EVENTUALLY!!! GUARANTEED!!!

... ANYTHING ELSE ?

Nah, i think i've said all i wanted to say. WOOF! I wrote a lot! Thank you so much for reading!!! I really appreciate it. Don't forget, you can subscribe to these posts through RSS. It's really handy for keeping up with blogs and stuff.

Have a great rest of your day and night!

* ^w^ *

The month of May is already coming to a close, and yet it feels like i blinked. The Blink Incident strikes again. Such is the way of the passage of time. Since the last post, i've repeatedly had many thoughts about making a new one only to procrasinate and say "nah, i'll do it tomorrow". This procrastination stops now!!!

So hi again :3

I've been mostly busy dealing with High School, with many days just coming home and going "ough...". I actually slept for about 15 hours recently. Sleepy and busy times. But i've been also focusing a little on my personal projects aswell, like the Daily Lolbit account on Bluesky, as well as Psycamp [a horror webseries fake lets-play, massively inspired by Petscop]. I think i talked about that project in the last post.

Psycamp - The project i'm focusing on the most right now

*checks notes* I did, yeah, but i did not really go into much detail about it. I'm gonna do my best to talk as much as i can about it while also talking as little as i can about it at the same time. I've made a bunch of sound files for it recently, like sound effects and music. I've also made one page of concept art with some character designs, which i feel proud of. Most notably, i have already built a working prototype of the game itself - on my computer sits a file named Luu.exe (before this project was called Psycamp, it was called Luu). And i did a lot of work on - what i think is the most important part right now for this project - the story and it's details. I made a Miro board which details all the ideas i have for the project, including but not limited to: story events, definitions of symbolisms, timelines. I spent a lot of time on making a whole "symbolism layer" for this project. I really want this webseries to have a big amount of room to interpret things, so i did a lot of thinking for metaphors and whatnot. I came up with a pretty decently sized board just full of definitions for these metaphors. I will never show nor will i flat-out explain these definitions. I want people to FEEL the story, and for them to use their intuition as to what they think is going on. Much like Petscop.

I have such a specific vision that i have in mind for this project, yet i STILL have a bunch of things to figure out. I need to figure out the environments, and more specific scenarios. Just thinking about it takes up a lot of my brain power so i think i'm done writing about Psycamp now, lol

STEAM

I got the steam controller! Bought it DAY 1, *right* before it went out of stock and the whole reservation stuff happened. Here's a pic :3

Excuse the image quality, my camera was dunked in oil. ... on a completely unrelated topic, you should check this out, it's pretty cool

This controller is GOOD. VERY good. I honestly really really like this thing, and i do not see myself getting another controller for a long long while. It feels good to hold and use, very comfortable, the rumble is the softest rumble i have ever felt in a controller and i actually really like it. Not really sure what else to write about it other than: IT GOOD! But, if you already have a controller that you like using for PC...then, i mean, you don't really need it. It is just a controller, after all. Just a very good one. Get it if you want a good controller for your TV pc gaming set up, cus it's basically MADE for that...or if you dont have a good controller already. I RATE IT 10/10!

IDK what else to write now

Uhhhh..... gup? Thank you for reading!!

It has already been a few days since this website has went up, and I'm again surprised by how fast time flies sometimes... And there's also been quite a few developments since then, so let's talk about em.

After the website went live, I began to look for webrings to join...and looking for them was a really interesting time, since I'm very very new to this whole "indie website neighborhood" thing. So many people with their own sites, their own personality, their own individuality... It's amazing how much variety there is, and being able to be a part of that is really cool. I applied for a bunch of webrings, and i actually got accepted into one already: The Indie Webring! Check their widget out on the misc. tab, it looks cool!

Oh yeah, i just remembered: This website also now has RSS fuctionality! You probably already know if you saw that big orange RSS button on the Posts tab. If you don't know what RSS is, it's basically an internet mailing system...but for websites, primarily used for blogs and stuff. You can subscribe to my blog by clicking on the orange RSS button, then copying the code into what's called an RSS Reader: Software that reads the RSS information and turns it into readable posts. I am personally using Feeder, it's an extension and it works nicely enough. (though i don't really like how the lowest feed update times are locked behind a paywall... atleast the lowest FREE one is 30 minutes, which isn't so bad... but STILL!)

Other than that, the rest of the stuff that's been happening with the website is a few bug fixes, making the website more mobile-friendly, and... Oh yeah! A bunch of people wrote stuff on the guestbook! Thank you to everyone who has done that, it was awesome to see and i really appreciate it. I hope to see more people writing there soon! ^^

OTHER THAN WEBSITE STUFF...

I recently finished watching the entirety of Twin Peaks! The first two seasons, then the movies, and then the third season. My god. What a show. I LOVED it. I see why this series is so well acclaimed, it's incredibly memorable and has taken root in the back of my mind, and i doubt it will get out of there any time soon...

That show, and David Lynch's overall style, has grealy influenced me in how i think about media and how to approach writing them. I am currently working on-and-off on a Petscop-inspired project, and i think that show has given me quite a bit of fuel to come up with more crazy ideas for events and themes and whatnot. I really can't wait to get that project all built up and running... I'm excited to see how people will react to it.

I have written down so many ideas that it's genuinely difficult to keep track of them all... I will definitely need to make some sort of design document for that project, since i still haven't already done that... MAN i want to do so much, but motivation is being quite the kicker for me. I have all these ideas, but i can't move myself enough to actually get back into the groove of building those ideas into reality. Oh well, once i have something to show, i WILL show it ASAP and with pride.

Wawawowza, that was a bunch of text, i'm getting sleepy! It feels good to write my thoughts out like this, whether or not people actually find this stuff interesting to read, which by the way... Thank you for reading! I really appreciate it. Have a nice cool day, ya goober

Today marks the day that the new and improved zancked website goes up!! With the huge help of ThatFirey, my website is now looking *pretty* spiffy if i say so myself... ;)

A big design pillar i had in mind for this new version of the website is to make it feel more like an actual hub of my presence on the internet. That is to say, i wanted to have a place where i could post my things completely independent of other places like Bluesky or YouTube, mainly my art and music, as well as a place to host archives of older stuff in a less visible light, like my stream VODs. Also i just thought it would be cool to have an all-in-one deal as a website.

I plan on using this "posts" page as an area to post occasional updates regarding myself and my work. Essentially a blog! Be sure to check this place once in a while!

...Maybe it would be cool to have some way to notify people of new posts being uploaded through email or... push notifications?? hm... If you have any thoughts about that, please let me know by sending me a message! Contacts are on the Home page. You can also simply write your thoughts on the guestbook in the posts page!

That is all for now, thank you for reading! Have a nice day :3
